Great program and group of people that runs facility... staff genuinely cared about clients and their well being... changes have been made to better this facility... therapist, staff and technicians were great... strongly recommend.
Our son was in this treatment center for three months. During his first month, everything went as they promised, and we were all satisfied. His therapist kept in contact with us, as they said, and our son did well and saw daily improvement. The second and third months, after moving into the Intensive Outpatient Program, and the living quarters provided by them, is when things began to fall apart. There appeared to be monetary problems within the center, and they were constantly letting people go. As a result, our son had three different therapists, and none of them ever contacted us .. once. He also went thru a 2-week disruptive period where the Challenges personnel decided the Outpatient patients were not going to be allowed to use the in-house live-in facility (which is directly across the street) and where everything is ... the pool, basketball court, grill, lounge, etc. There seemed to be a nightly meeting to resolve the issue, and eventually they agreed to keep things the same and allow usage, but as I said, it was disruptive, and in my opinion, took away from the program. The final issue for me and my husband, is that they have refused to refund our damage deposit for the living quarters my son shared with another patient. Although it is only $250.00, it is the principle that everything was left in excellent condition and we have repeatedly called. Each time they assure us they will see that a check is mailed. It has been four months. If you are considering this facility, I would strongly recommend that you question their personnel turnover .. you will be surprised.
